Got the NHL Ce...Czabe,<BR/> I am an diehard puck fan. Got the NHL Centre (Canadian Spelling seems appropriate) Ice Package. I fell in love with the game during my high school years in the early 90s. Back then the sport was more physical, and you'd have a handful of guys on each team that would have a chip on their shoulder and more then willing to tussle at a momments notice. You'd also have in each game good corner battles that didn't involve fights, but would have plenty of stanky wet gloves to the noses of the opposition. I see the sport changing, but it is still good. <BR/>If they would take the fighting out of the game, they might as well seriously consider removing about half of the teams from the league. These teams are hanging on by a thread right now, and if they cut into the ticket sales, as most rational fans believe the elimination of fight would, these teams would be folding like card houses on a windy day.<BR/>I don't have a NHL team in town, but Milwaukee does have the AHL Admirals, and like you said the crowd gets electic during a tussle. Maybe it is our modern version of gladitorial games, and a Darwinistic lust for seeing emotions, and violence flaring up.
