That would remove any subjectivity.Randy-in-VAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00799446817577104158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1566606152366187003.post-43610994983945061972009-03-24T11:24:00.000-04:002009-03-24T11:24:00.000-04:00I get the concern ... but what happened on Sunday ...I get the concern ... but what happened on Sunday is just a bad example of why the rule needs to be changed. If you gave me a choice, at that point, to force Tiller to shoot them, or allow a freshman with a 68% average from the line (6-9points lower than to Tiller) to come in off the bench cold to shoot them, I'd take the Freshman to shoot them every time. Everyone is bellyaching about it now with the benefit of knowing the eventual outcome ... the frosh hitting them both ... but at the time, it just didn't seem like a big deal.

The thing that bothered me was Tiller's ability to re-enter the game right away. Seems to me that if you are too hurt to shoot the FT's, then you should at least have to sit until the next dead ball after play resumes.TDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07240166728901159952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1566606152366187003.post-58087745631030877082009-03-24T08:14:00.000-04:002009-03-24T08:14:00.000-04:00This has been the rule as long as I can remember a...This has been the rule as long as I can remember and no one seems to be abusing it. There's a lot of difference between the last guy on the bench in the pros and the last guy in college. And trust me, no college fan wants the college game to be anything like the pro gameAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18419086671866772527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1566606152366187003.post-54606924947854390182009-03-23T22:35:00.000-04:002009-03-23T22:35:00.000-04:00Amen, my dear Czabe. That was a chicken-shit move ...Amen, my dear Czabe.

That was a chicken-shit move by Mizzou (and I bleed Badger red). Not like either team will reach the final four, but maybe this will be the example to finally change the silly rule. Oh wait, no. This is the NC$$. It will only change if it happens to a marquis school (Duke, UConn, UCLA, anyone?).Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16177261177872060824noreply@blogger.com
