And Steve Wynn, is a Democrat!
And I'm saying it bluntly, that this administration is the greatest wet blanket to business, and progress and job creation in my lifetime. And I can prove it and I could spend the next 3 hours giving you examples of all of us in this market place that are frightened to death about all the new regulations, our healthcare costs escalate, regulations coming from left and right.
They'll say, God, don't be attacking Obama. Well, this is Obama's deal and it's Obama that's responsible for this fear in America.
The guy keeps making speeches about redistribution and maybe we ought to do something to businesses that don't invest, their holding too much money. We haven't heard that kind of talk except from pure socialists. Everybody's afraid of the government and there's no need soft peddling it, it's the truth. It is the truth. And that's true of Democratic businessman and Republican businessman, and I am a Democratic businessman and I support Harry Reid. I support Democrats and Republicans. And I'm telling you that the business community in this company is frightened to death of the weird political philosophy of the President of the United States. And until he's gone, everybody's going to be sitting on their thumbs.Policy. Not personal.
Dismiss it if you like. But it's the truest thing I've heard anybody in big business say these days. There is so much money, and so many companies just sitting on the sidelines right now because of Obama, it's why there IS NO recovery. Not now. Not tomorrow. Not next year. Not until he is peacefully voted out of office, and his elementary and distorted view of economics utterly repudiated.
Until then, the economic beatings shall continue.
"There is so much money, and so many companies just sitting on the sidelines right now because of Obama, it's why there IS NO recovery."

Yeah....because you being a talking head Steve makes you highly qualified to know this. After all you only do radio as a side job between all of the board meetings and hobnobbing with business big wigs.

ReplyDeleteThe internet never forgets... from the Huffington Post, 8 June, 2009:
ReplyDelete"By now, according to earlier White House economic models, the nation's unemployment rate should be on the decline. The forecasts used to drum up support for the [stimulus] plan projected today's unemployment would be about 8 percent. Instead, it sits at 9.4 percent."

And now, TWO full years removed, it's 9.2 percent. Well done.
Do you think Wynn is bitching b/c he is over 4 billion in debt by betting a Vegas Real estate?
ReplyDeleteGood point Czabe. Miss you on the radio.
