Losing Streak

Barack Obama is cratering. This is not my opinion. This is verifiable fact. Not only has he been inflicting damage on every Democrat he endorses in every election since his own, but he and his party haven't won any significant election since Obama rode into office on "Hopenchange."

From Josh Kraushaar on National Journal...
For all of Obama's political talent, he's been a major drag on his party since taking office. In 2009, Republicans won two hotly-contested gubernatorial races in Virginia and New Jersey, with the victors (Chris Christie/Bob McDonnell) now on Romney's vice-presidential short list. During the heat of the health care debate in 2010, Scott Brown picked up Ted Kennedy's Senate seat in deep blue Massachusetts. Later that year, Republicans regained control of the House, by winning a whopping 63 seats while picking up six Senate seats. And now, Walker wins the recall by a bigger margin than in the 2010 election, which was already a watershed year for Wisconsin Republicans.
And when you have lost Maureen Dowd of the New York Times... well... better get in as much golf as you can by way of Marine One before the winter arrives...
"The president who started off with such dazzle now seems incapable of stimulating either the economy or the voters. His campaign is offering Obama 2012 car magnets for a donation of $10; cat collars reading “I Meow for Michelle” for $12; an Obama grill spatula for $40, and discounted hoodies and T-shirts. How the mighty have fallen."

  2. Only problem is that he's still going to own Mitt Romney in the Presidential Election. He's already polling with a double-digit lead in my state.

If either party could come up with a candidate that people could get behind, they'd be dangerous . . .

  3. Good thing your state doesn't decide the election...

More ownage, yet MSNBC and their ilk continue to spin, "this has nothing to do with November". BUT, if Walker would've lost, the narrative would've been, "oh, Obama's policies are ingrained into American mainstream. American's want more of Obama policies".

I love the crying loon who stated "democracy died today" because libs were outspent in Wisconsin... sooo, that means, by his sound logic, Democracy died when Obama outspent Mccain $880M to $500M?

    Good-bye Barry... deuces!

  4. It cracks me up how the national media thinks this recall has anything to do with Obama. It was all about Walker's performance, pure and simple. And there were many moderate democrat voters that either abstained or voted for Walker because they thought the recall was unwarranted. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Walker still winds up being a 1 term governor.

  5. I thought this was a Sports site...... Anyway since someone said Wisconsin voters, exit polls had Obama +7% over the candidate whose turn it is to run for the Republican party.

  6. Mark, the same exit polls had the governor's race 'too close to call' well into the evening. Didn't turn out very close.

  7. Approximate cost per vote
Mayor Barrett $3.9m, $3.36 per vote (26% from outside the state)
Gov. Walker $30.5m, $22.53 per vote (66% from outside the state)

  8. Mark... And 100% of the voters were Wisconsin. So, what's your point?

  9. Not a wack job of any type, don't even have a way to get.

When the voting time comes I'll vote for the candidate that serves me best.

  10. Being from WI the amt of $ Barrett spend isn't a fair comparison. Walker had been raising money since the start of the recall effort. Barrett just got won the primary. If you count all the money the dems and unions spent from the start the money raised and spent from both sides was almost identical. Also, Walker didnt have any buffoons like Ed Schultz openly campaigning for him for an hour every single night on tv. What would be the cost of that?
