Let The Favre Suck-up-erry Begin!

Don't be fooled by Britfar's suddenly warming opinions on the Packers and their chances in the playoffs. Remember, it was just a few weeks ago, that Favre told Julius Peppers in a semi-concussed state: "Good luck, now go beat the Packers."

Here's Brett's newest take on his former-former team.

"I think they will win it all! I hope they do, if you are wondering," Favre said in an e-mail to ESPN's Ed Werder. "Aaron is the best QB and the receiving corps is the best ever, maybe," Favre said in the e-mail. "But Dom and the defense gets the MVP award at this stage. There is no bitterness. I'm happy for them and very happy and content with my legacy," Favre told Werder.

Pathetic.

For three years running, Favre has done ALL HE CAN to be a grade-A prick to the Packers and their fans. From subtle little jabs, to calling up Matt Millen to share game planning intel.

Now, suddenly, he's a big fan(!) root, root, rooting for his old team. Suck it, redneck. Nobody takes you seriously, and nobody wants to hear about you, or from you right now.

Meanwhile, somebody found a C+ looking fake Favre to film this spoof on the LeBron "Rise" commercial. Nice try, fellas.

  2. Know why Pevre is suddenly nice to the Pack. Now that he's "retired" for now (yeah, I know. . .), He's shooting for his number to be retired at Lambeau. Putting this putz by Nitschke and Starr turns my stomach, despite all he's done on the field.

  3. I'm hoping the next thing we hear out of him will be when there is a lawnmower accident in Mississippi.

  4. Favre is doing this because he knows us WIers will welcome him back and forgive. He has been here for 16 years. He knows people will forgive, maybe not forget, but he is thinking that he will be forgiven.

Personally, I don't buy his bullshit. I think it is childish but then again, Farve is childish.

  5. I think you all need to take a big dose of reality. This stuff happens. People move on, there's bitterness. While I don't buy into his comments on his suddenly loving the packers, I also don't care. Think about it, what did he do for us, and what did he REALLY do to us. Answers, everything and nothing. So all of you cry babies saying, "oh I hate favre. He's such a jerk, wah, wah, wah." Do me a favor, and grow up, or stop associating yourselves with the likes of me, a true packer fan. It would be an honor to have his number in the circle. And last time I checked, he was WAY better than bart starr.

  6. Get over it! What's pathetic is Czabe, and most of Wisconsin's obsession with this guy. Why does everybody care about every move he makes? Time to move on........

  7. Fleish. We'll all try and be more like you since you are apparently the definition of a true fan. Maybe one day I can achieve your a hole status. In the mean time I will hold on to my dislike of favre. Check the stats bro, B Starr won a lot more championships than Brett and he knew the meaning of the word TEAM. You and Brett obviously don't.

  8. Oh you Packer fans. You're 48 hours from playing for a bid to the Super Bowl and you still manage to insert Favre into your coverage and conversations.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned? They may have to update that saying for the modern era to include Favre and Pack fans.

When was his last season with Green Bay? 2007? Might be time to let it go, ya think?

  9. Shouldn't the title be "Favre suck up era" instead of "Favre suck up erry?"

  10. @fleish_01:

Check Bart Starr's record and you will find that Bart Starr won 5 NFL championships, Super Bowl I, Super Bowl II, and named Super Bowl MVP for both Super Bowls that he played in. Bart Starr's playoff record of 9-1 is still the best on record (Brett Farve's is 13-11). So for a "true" Packers fan, I would think you would know your Packer's history, evidently not!!!!!!!
