I tell you, these things are not to be f****d with, esp. if they might be rabid (and furious rabies afflicts foxes the most of any animal). Last fall a rabid fox chased my 50-lb. Rhodesian Ridgeback around the house. I barely got the dog into the house and slammed the door just as the fox slammed into the door, then tried to claw its way through the door to get into the house. Left bloody pawprints and small gouges in the wood of the door. I call it my ironic Cujo moment.
