Not Exactly An Immaculate Landing Like Sully

My man Johnnie Rhodes (aka: "The Greaser") was out with me last month for Monday Night Football at Buffalo Wild Wings in Frederick.

It started to snow, but it was light. So we said, "eh, no big deal."

Well, it wasn't a big deal to Rhodesie, until he came to the driveway of his house!

On a downward slope, the driveway quickly became a luge run.

He had a quick, hard decision to make, as his Saab SUV and it's four-wheel drive suddenly became useless.

Should he crash into his living room?
Should he crash into his wife's car in the driveway?

Or... "Plan C."

Rhodesie says he should be commended like Sully Sullenberger for his quick thinking that saved lives, notably his sleeping wife and 2 year old son.

I said: "Rhodes. You ain't no Sully. But nice work. Wings are on me, next time."

  1. I would comment on the ineptitude of Capitol-area drivers dealing with inclement weather, but ice is ice no matter where you are.

  2. I agree that plan C was the best course of action as well.

  3. Regarding the fake Tiger Woods Czabecast, I didn't think anything could be more far fetched than your Erin Andrews conspiracy theory but we have a new leader in the clubhouse. ;-)

Seriously, the question the media should have asked itself is: if you're Tiger Woods and you are worth a billion plus dollars and you think you are a sex addict are you going to go to some Podunk clinic in Mississippi with the unwashed masses; or are you going to hire the best sex addiction therapists and have them come live with you in one of your 12 mansions where your well paid security detail can ensure the prying eyes of the paparazzi don't snap grainy photos of you?

I do think he's having fun tweaking the press by hiding out and watching the hysteria that not speaking or even surfacing in a photo is generating. The dude is a real life Jason Bourne. Hopefully he's somewhere working on his game night and day and he's gonna emerge in April and lap the field at the Masters.

    But I could be wrong...

Love the podcast and the Czabecasts.

  5. Czabe,
If you are buying the wings, I will make the trek from Baltimore. Sad to say that Rhodes can drive a golf ball better than his car. Stash
