Penn State Pity Party

Like teenagers who have been told they aren't going to the prom.

Boo hoo.

Put on your big boy pants, WeAre Nation, and gear up for Indiana and Northwestern - they are your best shot at wins for a while.

  1. LOL. I have no pity for these pathetic and perverted child molester protectors. They got off easy in my opinion.

  2. Well said. I couldn't believe the pity party televised. They think their world is crushed because of football sanctions. They have some real growing up to do.

  3. I think the NCAA should have grown a pair and gave Penn State the death penalty. They need to use that stick in the arsenal more often.

  4. Yeah, stick it to these kids because they worked hard in High School and were accepted to what was a Tier I University. Yeah... they defintely deserve it because they did.... what?

You fucking losers are douchebags. Send your kids to fucking ITT tech so they can fix my laptop.

I attended WI but excuse me if I wouldnt be a little pissed to see my college years effectively reduced to a DIII program while I attended. You mindless fucks cant differentiate that their reaction is about their future at the university and not a slight to the victims.

Czabe.... I know you got a hardon for Joe Pa but (we all do, but... newsflash... HE'S 6 FEET UNDER).

Can I remind any of you that the real evil here is Sandusky? not some 18 year olds? .... I suppose you forgot.

  5. I forgot to ask....so... Czabe, was the NCAA a pussy like you suggested they would be or is this appropriate / overkill?

Your like a naggy wife, always bitching but never offering up a better solution.

  6. Czabe.....why pick on the kids at PSU just because they are upset? PSU is their life for the next 4 years. You asshole Republicans are all alike when it comes to people. In your mind, I suppose the victims of this horrible crime are cry babies because they testified against Sandusky. I don't know how your family lives with you. Go hit your little golf ball, chase it and don't come back.

    1. Right, this is all about politics, and has NOTHING to do with the crimes committed and then covered up. You asshole Liberals are all alike, piss and moan when something you think you deserve gets taken away from you. Gee, I'm sorry that some poor college kids can't root for the home football team in a bowl game for the next 5 years, that will really effect their future!!

  7. Wow I didn't know that being a republican was the whole problem here! Some people have excuses for everything. Grow up people.

  8. Yea...struck a nerve, eh? Last I remember the College's are there to educate, and quite honestly most have become horrible at doing that. Wonder what the average grade point was of all of those students? You want to blame someone, blame PSU and its coaches for not protecting these poor innocent students that are in shock. The university deserves even more, don't have to be a Republican to think that. Don't like that? Turn on the 4-letter network, they've joined your pity party.

  9. Did you guys see Carlton Banks at the end there talking about the death penalty!! Priceless!!

I am sure these are all great kids but they do not know how ignorant and entitled they come across whining about these sanctions. It just goes to show how powerful the presence of the beast that is Penn State football is.
To look at it in simplified terms, they are upset because an organization (Penn State) and a person (JoePa) who helped cover up a heinous sex scandal were punished. This would be the exact same thing that would happen if this occurred at the meat dept. at Giant Food. The store, department and individuals who were responsible would be punished. In fact, punishment would have been much swifter and severe in my opinion if it were any other enterprise.
I would feel as though these sanctions were far too light if it was my child who had been taken advantage of.

  10. Pretty clear that PSU students are far more outraged about sanctions than they ever were about KIDS GETTING RAPED. These were the same idiot students who were claiming "JoePa did no wrong" since last November. These students were part of the problem - that whole culture of football matters above all else (even more than kids' safety).

  11. Penn State football fans should be thankful that they will still be able to attend 6 or 7 home games in Happy Valley and watch some of the best FBS teams in the country. Tailgates will happen, beer bongs will flow and coeds will get drunk...the college football experience will not miss a beat.

The impact on quality of play should be minimal in 2012 since few players are going to find a spot with a competitive program with just over a month before the first game. Enjoy what you have and take advantage of the excellent education available at PSU. That IS why you decided to attend, right?

  12. Hey Tom, you liberals are all about saving the kids, but then you care more about some "inconvenienced" students, going to SCHOOL, not going to a football academy. Wow.. no football... really, that is the worst thing they have. Oh wait, they DO have football. $12M a year means less Gatorade in the lockers and creatine in the weight room, and scholarship athlete #60 - #85 will have to pay for college. That's it?

  13. Woah...how'd this become a political party argument? I'm liberal and support the Democratic party, but I'm very happy the NCAA came down on Penn State. This was about a cover up by the highest levels of their program. The school needed to be punished. Sure, the major crime was committed by Sandusky, a horrible, disgusting, crime, but the reason you come down on the school is for the coverup that occurred. They sat by while this monster continued to commit crimes. Are innocent people harmed by this punishment? Sure, but you can't let an institution act the way Penn State did and not subject them to some form of real punishment. What's strongest way to punish a school like Penn State? Harm the football program. Props to the NCAA on this one.

  14. Go register for class, you pussies! A little less time getting drunk at Beaver Stadium and a little more time hitting the books will do you good. Your mommies and daddies are paying for you to get an education, not worship a dead pedaphile enabler.

  15. If I were attending Penn State I would transfer immediately. I don't think I would want to learn at a place with people like that running it. Certainly would'nt want to give them my hard earned money.

How did those on top of this organization go to sleep at night all these years knowing what they knew? I could never live with myself. I'd hate to say it, but were they all molesting children? How else do you keep a secret like that? And they had to look Sandusky in the face on a daily basis. What the hell? And burn in hell!

  16. Looks like Wisconsin's road to another Big 10 championship just got a whole lot easier!! On Wisconsin!! Go Bucky!!

  17. I have to take the other side here, and defend these kids.

First of all, they're random kids in college, and so a certain quantum of stupid should be assumed. "Perspective" and "19 years old" don't usually overlap. Stick a microphone in front of any random sample of people and ask a question, and you're probably going to hear something stupid.

Second, I didn't hear anything about this being unfair, except for the talking point about punishing today's athletes for the sins of yesterday's coaches. I didn't hear anything about "separating the good Paterno did from his mistakes." The frat boy says he feels bad for Bill O'Brien and the current team. Well, yeah.

Yes, there was a gasp when the four-year bowl ban was announced. How exactly did you expect kids at Penn State to react? Were you expecting them to high-five and chant "Suck it, football!"?

  18. WTF? Really. After all that's been said and done and said again about Penn State our dear Czabe finds it necessary to post a nasty jab at COLLEGE KIDS who are understandably upset about the sanctions being levied against their school. At this juncture, several thoughts occur:

    1. What's the point of this post? There's no critical analysis. No point to be made. Just mean sprited mockery of college kids who are going through some very natural emotions in the midst of the darkest age their university (or any university) is likely to see. I've always admired Czabe and followed his show with a religious fervour because he was always one of the few to dig past the surface of a story and deal with the real issues. What's the issue here? "Boo Hoo"? Why not just say, "nah, nah, nah, nuh, nah, nah - a small group of powerful people at your school did heinous things and now the school is punished and your school sucks and you suck too because you're all sad about it". Sweet Jebus people, are you all getting so high off of PSU's demise that you're losing your sense of judgement at this point.

    2. for those of you jumping on the dog pile now, I think you need to take a hard look at where the "righteous indignation" ends and just plain mean spiritedness picks up. Yes, Sandusky was a monster. Yes, school officials, including dear late Mr. Paterno, should be lambasted and punished to the extent possible for covering it up. Now, why the hate and vitriol for the current students? The current players? The townspeople? The fans? The alumni? THEY DID NOTHING WRONG. Further, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THEIR VERY NATURAL AND HONEST FEELINGS OF BEING DEVASTATED BY THIS. By pointing your fingers in their face and making fun of that, I think everyone is crossing a line that was blurred long ago. Less and less am I seeing genuine outrage about what happened, and more and more am I seeing a disturbing sense of glee, of picking on and unfairly judging/condeming everythign that has to do with PSU.

    3. None of you saw these students' reactions to the news of the abuse or the cover up. But, you conviently see their reaction to the NCAA sanctions. Just because they reacted emotionally to the latter does not mean they are jaded or uncaring or otherwise less than outraged at the latter. To Bubby Bristol and his, "Pretty clear that PSU students are far more outraged about sanctions than they ever were about KIDS GETTING RAPED" - tell me how that's so clear to you? What exactly is it about this video that gives you unimpeachable evidence that by mourning the demise of their football program that they didnt' care about KIDS GETTING RAPED? It's bullshit, and it just provides an easy, completely thoughtless assumption to make so you can feel good about dancing in the ashes and pointing your fingers at someone else so you don't have to think about all of your own failings and how many times you've failed to measure up. Seriously folks, these are kids having honest, emotional reactions to a really shitty time in their lives. They're not criminals. They're not pedophiles. They're not rapists.

    4. Czabe - you should be above this. Of all the pundits out there, I would think you would be above the "nah, nah, nah, nahs" that this post so inherently is. I've followed you through the FOX days, through your hiatus and your eventual, triumphant return to the airwaves. This, however, has me seiously considering moving on in the talk radio landscape. This just clinches to me what I've been thinking for a while now - too many people are enjoying this. It's not righteous indignation you're all feeling. It's bloodlust. You all probably wake up with hangovers in the morning your so high on this.

    1. Well said, Ed. The fact that Czabe posted this doesn't surprise me. He's an asshole. An entertaining one sometimes, but an asshole none the less.

  19. CZABE: Sometimes you post the most rediculous crap. These are kids whose entire College Life has been dragged through the mud over the past ten months and there is no end in sight. Why? Because of the decisions of a few people who are all being prosecuted or are Deceased except for Spanier. And, I expect that will change shortly. This has turned into a witch hunt, if it's Blue & White, Kill it! By the way the people involved are no longer with the University as a previous poster stated. Shame on you Czabe, this was a crappy thing to do.

  20. To the long-winded bloviates that are critical of folks suggesting PSU (or is it PUSsies?) have maybe one ounce of humility with what went down. Playing the weak victim card is pitiful and pisses folks off. So Shut the Fuck up with your "How can you post this, Czabe" crap. The best advice I could offer PSU apologists right now is to be quiet, take your medicine and don't bring attention to yourself by griping about the sanctions. From what I gathered just recently, they could have been worse (4 year Death Penalty, higher $$ fine).

  21. Stop crying ladies at Penn State - Main Campus.

Watch how USC fans handled it - Hired a real coach with a hot wife and said "Fight On!"

Penn State and its fans are to blame for JoePa! He was NOT a GOD, he was a Coach! Stop calling them "Coach" when they are off the field! Only their players should call him "Coach."

Lastly, Penn State has NOT been a force in college football since 1994(Their last undefeated season). JoePa and his tactics have been exposed by Big Ten plus 2 coaches since entering the league. Yes, his team were well coached but with no real talent his teams were exposed. So cry into the night Penn Stater!
