Super Bowl Saturday would be awesome from a fan perspective, but what's stopping it is that the league and its affiliates have absolutely zero desire to give up that extra day of self promotion and high roller parties that all come to a head on that Saturday night.
I've been advocating this for years. I'd also like to see NFL and college regular seasons swap Saturdays and Sundays. College kids don't care which day they party and then the NFL fans could fully enjoy all games on Saturday.
Push the Super Bowl back to President's Weekend. Then most people will be off Monday (and those who aren't will insist they should be). Of course, with an 18 game schedule this is EXACTLY what will happen. Bring it Ginger Hammer!!!
Packers beat Atlanta, Win Superbowl.
